Seasons in Izmir

Izmir is in the Mediterranean climate zone. Izmir has a perfect weather and the cooling sea breeze in the summer takes away the burning heat of the sun. The weather is generally good, summers are hot and dry, winters are warm and rainy. The temperature rarely drops below zero in the winter months.

In coastal areas of the city, the average temperatures are between 14-18 degrees. Annual average sea water temperature is 18.5 degrees.
