Every city and town in Turkey has a local bus service and there is an extensive network of express coaches throughout the country. The bus companies has connection with all other cities.

The most popular and convenient way to travel inside Turkey is by bus; every town and city has its own bus station with numerous companies and their clean, modern buses offering tickets to just about every corner of the country.

Bus travel is usually a lot cheaper than travelling by plane, but takes longer. Most bus companies in Turkey offer student, child, senior, and family discounts. If you are travelling in a large group, you must book your ticket well in advance.

Coach Operators

Ulusoy, Varan, Kamil Koc and Metro are the biggest coach operators in Turkey, operating routes all over the country and to main cities in Europe.

Tickets are reasonably priced and journeys are comfortable and fast on air-conditioned buses with free WiFi connection, television, a steward, free snacks and drinks, regular rest stops. Booking can often be made on the day at the bus station where each bus company has its own office, though on public holidays it is advisable to book in advance. Alternatively, you can buy tickets online or from local travel agencies.

Public Buses

You will find the bus stations and public transport information centres in cities and towns of Turkey. Disposable cards are available in some towns and cities, these can be bought from the bus stations.
