Istanbul's Train Stations

There are two main historic train stations in Istanbul, Sirkeci Train Station on the European side of Istanbul and Haydarpasa Train Station on the Asian side of Istanbul.

Railway Stations

Istanbul has two railway stations; Haydarpasa Train Station on the Asian side and Sirkeci Train Station on the European side. However both are under restoration during 2015. It is important to check this before planning your trip.

Haydarpasa Railway Station

Haydarpasa Train Station is the point of departure for those traveling from Istanbul to cities and towns in Anatolia, as well as the terminal stop for those arriving from Anatolia.

Sirkeci Railway Station

Sirkeci Train Station is Istanbul's gate to Europe, and the arrival place of European visitors to the mythical city of Istanbul.
