Coves and bays usually provide calmer conditions, generally with more protection from sea waves and winds making them an ideal beach environment for families, swimming and snorkelling.

Datca has 52 unspoilt coves of various sizes, some of which carry the blue flag. These coves are favourite stops on blue cruises and there are many boat tours which will take you to several of these bay in one day. If you have time, you should definitely check the bays dotting the road from Datca to Knidos. Adorning the green hills like turquoise beads, some of these coves are accessible only by water.

On the Northern Shore Facing Aegean Sea

Degirmenbuku: Degirmenbuku is one of the beautiful bays on the Aegean side of the Datca Peninsula. It has an untouched natural beauty with its lush green trees.

Murdala: Murdala is one of Datca's untouched bays on the northern shore facing Aegean Sea. The beach is with mixed sand and rock. The road is very bad, so you should have a sport utility vehicle. It is a suitable place for camping.

Mersincik: One of the unspoilt and azure Datca bays, Mersincik Bay is on the route of Carian Trail. The nature is wonderful. The only thing you need to pay attention to is the sea urchins in the sea.

Along the Shore of Mediterranean

Palamutbuku: Palamutbuku is the first cove to the east of Knidos. It is a charming fishing village with great restaurants, small hotels and a pristine 2,5 km beach. One of the most popular bays, Palamutbuku attracts visitors with its calm atmosphere as well as its clear and cool water. The bay, which is one of the frequent destinations of blue cruise boats, is located 25 km from the centre of Datca. If you have a car, you can easily explore the nearby beaches like Akvaryum and Akcabuk.

Kurubuk: Kurubuk has a wonderful sea and a small pebble beach. It is one of the secluded coves of Datca. There are no any facilities.

Mesudiye Village: Ovabuku, Hayitbuku and Kizilbuk (Gabaklar Cove) are triple coves conveniently situated side by side in the village of Mesudiye. Ovabuku has a beach with mixed pebble and sand. The sea is much more pleasant in the early morning. Hayitbuku is generally preferred by families with its windless environment and shallow sea. Kizilbuk, which has a white pebble beach, is one of the most popular bays in Datca with its untouched nature and wonderful view.

Domuzbuku: Domuzbuku (Domuz Cukuru Bay) is another beautiful cove which can only be reached by boat, with the fresh smell of pine forests and its clean air with plenty of oxygen.

Kargi Bay: Kargi, which is a few kilometers from the centre of Datca, is one of the most popular and favourite bays. It is one of the most beautiful places to swim in the sea. The water is calm and warm. The beach is covered with smooth pebbles.

Karaincir: Karaincir Bay, which is frequently preferred by families with children because of its shallow sea, has a fine sandy beach. It is 15 km away from the centre of Datca. There are facilities in the bay for your needs.

Ciftlik: Ciftlik Cove, which you will come across on your way from Marmaris to Datca, is located 30 km from the town centre. Datca Aktur, a big holiday village, is also situated in this bay. The bay draws attention with its nature adorned with pine trees and its beautiful sandy beach.
