Ayder offers sensational deep powder skiing on the shores of the Black Sea. The area is blessed with huge snowfalls and is characterised by big, open alpine heli skiing terrain.
Ayder is 2 hours from Trabzon airport. This small village lies at the edge of the Kackar range at an altitude of 1100 meters in Rize province of the Black Sea Region in Turkey.
Ayder is located in the centre of the Kackar range, with Ikizdere to the southwest. Ayder is perfect if you are looking for a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, varied terrain in an Alpine environment, only 5 minutes flight time from the hotel to the nearest run.
The skiable terrain accessible from the Ayder base covers some 4500 square meters. The highest point in the range is Kackar Mountains almost 3937 meters. You can ski at altitudes of between 1500 meters and 3700 meters. The vertical drops for your runs range from 500 meters to 1400 meters. Thanks to the variety of terrain available here, you can go to the runs you feel most comfortable with.
The nearest heli-skiing area to the accommodation in Ayder is only a 5 minute flight away and the bases are 20 or 25 minutes from each other by helicopter.
Kackar Mountains are just waiting to be explored with a multitude of endless, rolling, alpine runs at a perfect gradient.
