If you are interested in diving or snorkeling you will find plenty of suitable places along the beautiful coastline of Antalya.

Main factors making diving a pleasant activity in Antalya are the cleanliness of the seawater and good visibility. There are also a large number of wrecks where diving is permitted for dive lovers.

It is possible to learn to dive quickly from CMAS and PADI certified divers conducting courses and those who wish to take advanced courses can also satisfy their needs. In Antalya, 222 dive spots along the coastline from Gazipasa to Kalkan are home to underwater enthusiasts. Also, the diving centers in and around Antalya organize touristy diving tours for 12 months of the year.

Antalya's Best Dive Sites

Kemer: One of the most popular diving areas in the region, Kemer has many dive sites and greater depth than Antalya. The clarity of the water, allowing visibility of 25 metres, is very suitable for scuba diving. Expect clear and warm water, spectacular underwater scenery and plenty of marine life to see.

Side: Side is a really great place for who want to discover underwater life. The underwater museum, wrecks, reefs, Caretta Caretta turtles, caves, big groupers, lionfishes and other marine life are just some of the types of diving available.

Kas: Considered by many native divers to offer some of Antalya's finest diving, Kas has more than 30 recognised dive sites, most lying within a 30 minute radius of the harbour itself including reef, wreck and sites of historical value. There is plenty of marine life to see, particularly in comparison with other diving destinations.

Tekirova: The surrounding islands have a wonderful array of sea life including huge thornback rays, and are also a good location for cavern diving. During August and September there is a huge amount of tuna fish and seals, and dolphins can be seen throughout the year.

Finike: Gok Cavern near Finike, is one of the deepest in Asia which is accessible to divers. The cavern reaches the seabed and has a wide entrance.

Kalkan: The seas around Kalkan are suitable to experienced divers, with species of sea life including sharks, turtles, tuna, thornback rays, coral and sea sponges.
