Spring is the best season for rafting in this area. Geyikdag and Akdag the highest peaks of Taurus Mountains feed Alara Stream.

Due to the carstic nature of the Toros, many streams flow underground for a while and come to the surface later.

As it happens for many streams due to calstic character of Taurus Mountains, Alara stream also runs beneath the land and comes out the surface then becomes a waterfall at one of the points run and fall from about 25 m.
