From Alanya-Konakli to the north Guzelbag, following Gundogmus route takes you to the waterfall. The area is 70 km to Konakli and the last 20 km of the road is barely ground but worth for this trouble.
Alara stream, which is 70 km in length springs out of the foot of the mountains in the Koprulu town of Antalya and turns into a waterfall. It flows into the sea nearby the Boztepe village of Manavgat town.
Spring is the best season for rafting in this area. Geyikdag and Akdag the highest peaks of Taurus Mountains feed Alara Stream.
Due to the carstic nature of the Toros, many streams flow underground for a while and come to the surface later.
As it happens for many streams due to calstic character of Taurus Mountains, Alara stream also runs beneath the land and comes out the surface then becomes a waterfall at one of the points run and fall from about 25 m.
